NBC 10 adding more local news at 10 p.m.
Southern New England’s News Leader to debut "10 at 10," the Night Team one hour earlier on Me-TV and OSN
Southern New Englanders have a new station to turn to at 10 o’clock. NBC 10 WJAR is excited to announce the launch of a new 10 p.m. newscast on Me-TV Providence and the Ocean State Networks (OSN).
"10 at 10" will be anchored by the No. 1 rated Night Team of Patrice Wood and Dan Jaehnig, joined by Chief Meteorologist Mark Searles and Sports Director Frank Carpano. Along with the region’s most experienced reporters, the show will also feature segments from the award-winning NBC 10 I-Team and Health Check reporter Barbara Morse Silva.
"We are thrilled to bring WJAR’s top-rated news and talent to the new 10 p.m. time slot," said Scott Isaacs, news director. "Consumers want flexibility on when they watch their local news. By providing this new option, we are offering yet another choice for viewers to catch-up on the latest local, national, and international events at 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 10 p.m. or 11 p.m."
Me-TV Providence broadcasts over the air on Channel 10.2, Cox Channel 810, Comcast Channel 290, Charter Channel 114, and FiOS Channel 460. OSN, which normally carries re-broadcasts of NBC 10 newscasts, will also simulcast the show live on Cox Channels 5 and 1005.
"10 at 10" will debut on Monday, Oct. 30, and air daily Monday through Friday.
