Anthony Macari joined Storm Team 10 in July 2019 as a digital weather producer and meteorologist.
Prior to returning home to Rhode Island, Anthony worked at AccuWeather, producing graphics and working behind-the-scenes for their national cable weather broadcasts.
Anthony’s first job following graduation was as the morning meteorologist at WAGM in Presque Isle, Maine. While in “The County,” Anthony stayed busy forecasting countless snowstorms while also reporting on agriculture and recreation in the area.
Following a childhood passion, Anthony graduated from Lyndon State College (now Northern Vermont University-Lyndon) with a degree in atmospheric sciences. He became involved with the broadcast side of meteorology following an internship at WLNE in Providence and work at News 7 while on campus.
Anthony grew up in Johnston and is a graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy. It’s been a dream to be home with family and friends forecasting the weather and producing digital content for NBC 10.
Anthony is a member of the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association. These memberships originate at Lyndon where Anthony was president of the local chapter, leading members through the year and chairing the Northeastern Storm Conference.
Though work never stops as the weather is always in motion, while away from the station, Anthony can be found riding motorcycles or snowmobiles (depending on the season), watching Boston sports, or eating some of best Italian food Rhode Island has to offer, courtesy of his family and the great restaurants in the area.
