Tropical rains from Florence headed this way
While the last full Summer Weekend of 2018 lived up to the rest of the warm and humid season this year, it will roll into the beginning of the upcoming week as well. Autumn officially arrives this coming Saturday at 9:54 p.m. The remains of what was once Hurricane then Tropical Storm Florence that has battered the Carolinas with multiple feet of rain, causing catastrophic flooding, will push through Southern New England at a much quicker pace Tuesday. The latest Guidance Models suggest an average of 2" of rain across the region, but as much as 4" of rain is certainly a possibility. Stay tuned for updated forecasts.
After that, much more seasonable weather is on the way for Wednesday and Thursday this week.
