Winter Storm Watch for Southern New England Thursday
There is a Winter Storm Watch for Southern New England Thursday.
Snow starts in the morning and may impact the morning and evening commutes.
At this point it looks like light snow developing between 7-9am and reaching its height between 10am-3pm. Although the heaviest snow will be winding down it still may be snowing through the evening commute time.
This storm will have a significant impact on travel all day Thursday and we will likely see our first widespread school cancellation due to snow this season.
Based on the expected track of the storm (which MAY shift over the next 24 hours) it looks like a widespread 6-10" snowfall for much of our area with pockets of 12" amounts possible. Especially those inland, higher elevations.
Stay tuned to StormTeam10, we will have you covered through this latest round of winter!
Storm Team 10's Mark Searles has your forecast starting Tuesday night at 7 on NBC 10 News.
